Here are some best practice tips to avoid running into trouble later on.

## Use either the CRM import, or upload your lists. Don't do both in FunnelFLARE.

If you have a CRM import set up with FunnelFLARE and you are going to upload lists as well, do this in your CRM. FunnelFLARE will import your contacts from there.

Having both a CRM import and uploading lists directly to FunnelFLARE will potentially cause some contacts **not** to have their activity logged in the CRM. This can cause posting errors because we end up trying to log activities to contacts that don't exist in the CRM.

Keep it simple, upload your lists to the CRM and let FunnelFLARE bring the contacts in.

## Only setup One CRM integration in FunnelFLARE

If you have two CRMs, or two different accounts at the same CRM for a different grouping of contacts, do not setup up both integrations on the same account. Talk to your account manager or support about how best to configure your two or more CRM accounts. This may require a second FunnelFLARE account depending on your situation.

Simply setting up all CRM integrations on the same account is sure mix up your contacts between the CRMs and turn into an administrative nightmare.

## Give every campaign action and decision a unique label.

When looking at campaign reports, in particular campaign activities and current campaign steps contacts are on, FunnelFLARE uses the name of the activity/decision/wait etc. in the report. Give every action and decision it's own unique title.

For example, if I have several 'Email Prospect' steps in my workflow and I look at the report, which one did this contact below exit the campaign on?

Exit on 'Email Prospect' in the report:

But which 'Email Prospect' was it?

## When designing a drip campaign, ask yourself what the entry conditions are, and what the exit conditions are.

When creating a drip campaign, the best thing to do is think about how you want people to enter the campaign, and how they should exit it. Have this in mind before you start building.

For example, do I want contacts to be entered into it manually? Or should they enter when they meet some conditions? Maybe a combination of both? What are these conditions?

How about exit conditions? Under what circumstances should I ensure a contact gets removed from this campaign? Did they book an appointment? Did some status in my CRM change for them?

Having an idea of your entry and exit conditions prior to building will help you design a workflow that does what you expect it to do.

## Be cautious using Email Link Clicks and Email Opens as goals

## Check your duplicates regularly

## One campaign, one narrative, one type of contact group, and one list.
