Text messaging is another useful feature of FunnelFLARE. If you find text messages are not being sent, below are some of the most common reasons for this.

## Is your call tracking number capable of sending text messages?

Most call tracking numbers are capable of sending text messages. However you should always double check the capabilities of the call tracking number you select when first getting your number set up.

When searching for a new call tracking number, you will see icons next to each number. In the screenshot below you will see all the numbers in this case are capable of text and image messaging.

If either of the icons are missing for a number, this indicates that the number does not support that feature.

##

## Does your text message have any content?

If you are testing a text message from a campaign or a personal template, make sure it has content. Empty text messages will not be sent.

For campaigns, make sure the text message action has content by typing your text message in the "Message" field shown below:

For personal templates, go to your Profile Settings > Preferences > Personal Templates, click the edit (pencil) icon and make sure your text message has content:
> Macro (inline-external-image)

##

## Has the text message been configured to send from a valid number?

For campaign text messages, you need to configure the text message action to send from the number you intend to use. If you have not configured this, no messages will be sent.

You can select a specific number to send all messages from, or have the system dynamically choose which number to send from based on a dynamic term or the contact manager.

If you are using the "Contact Manager" or "Dynamic Term" option, please make sure your contact managers have a number assigned to them, or that your Dynamic Term has been configured. These will also prevent messages from going out if not setup properly.

## Does your contact have a phone number on their profile?

Seems trivial, but sometimes it's as simple as a contact not having a phone number on their profile. Check your contact(s) to see if they have a phone number on their profile:
